A murder-suicide in Antioch Township Friday morning claimed the life of a former Vernon Hills woman.
The victim has been identified as Diane Kephart, 61, reported the Daily Herald.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the area of Beach Grove Road and Westlake Avenue in unincorporated Antioch before 8 a.m. Friday for the report of an injured subject, according to a sheriff's press release.
Antioch Rescue transported the female victim to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, where she was pronounced dead.
Kephart was killed in the street in front of her father's home, according to the Chicago Tribune, by her ex-boyfriend, 57-year-old Paul Neff of Mundelein.
Kephhart had an order of protection against Neff, who was charged last month with multiple offenses including aggravated domestic battery with a deadly weapon, reported the Daily Herald.
Neff's body was found in a trailer near the Sandbar Bar and Grille, reported the Lake County News-Sun. A suicide note was found in his car.
