A grandma, her daughter and 2-year-old grandson—all of Palatine—died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash outside of Sycamore in DeKalb County, according to media reports.
Police told the Daily Chronicle the accident occurred when the daughter, and driver of the Mitsubishi Galant, Jenny Perez, 19, of Palatine crossed the centerline on Peace Road near Freed Road and collided with a large farming truck.
Her mother, Angelina Felix, 57, and her son, Roberto M. Perez, 2, were in the vehicle and also died in the crash, which occurred around 11:20 a.m. Thursday, according to the Daily Chronicle.
Reid Robert Anderson, 27, of Sycamore, was the driver of the truck and was not injured in the crash, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Man Charged With Theft in eBay Scam After Failing to Deliver Motorhome
A Lake Zurich man was charged with felony theft after selling a motorhome on eBay, but failing to deliver it, the Lake County Sheriff's office stated.
Randy Looke, 44, of the 500 Block of Peach Tree Lane in Lake Zurich is the owner of Sound & Video Consultants in Deer Park. Since 2011, he had been placing advertisements on eBay for a 1997 Forest River Reflection Diesel pusher 38-foot motorhome RV. Looke listed the advertisement under the company name ins.auto.auctions and his name was Andy Lo, according to the news release.
A victim residing in Texas won the high bid for $16,700 to purchase the motorhome and sent Looke a check in October, 2011, said Sgt. Sara Balmes, public information officer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The check cleared the bank on Nov. 2, 2011, she said, but the victim never received the motorhome.

Woman Who Killed Boy, 9, in Crash Gets 5 Years
Hanin Goma, the 23-year-old woman who caused a three car accident that led to the death of 9-year-old Carter Vo, was sentenced to five years in prison today, the Chicago Tribune reports. She was also ordered to pay fines totaling $3,319.
The crash occurred on May 21 at the intersection of Main Street and St. Louis Avenue. Since the incident, the Village of Skokie has approved a bid to build a $308,000 stoplight near the crash. Speed limits have also been reduced, from 35 mph to 25 mph.
Police said Goma made a left turn onto Main Street and struck an eastbound van. Goma then lost control and ended up on the northeast corner sidewalk, hitting Vo who was riding his bike.
It was later revealed that Goma, of Skokie, had marijuana and amphetamines in her system at the time of the incident, police said.

Three Men Fight Police, Officer Injured
A police officer was injured after a man tried to choke him, police stated.
Officers responded March 15 at about 11:25 p.m. to a call about three men – Michael Bricci, Richard Dohotariu and Andrei Giurgiu – causing trouble at a soccer sports complex in the 6300 block of Howard Street.
The caller said the men became verbally abusive after being asked not to kick soccer balls near children, the police report stated.
When police tried to take them into custody, all three became physically abusive, police stated. Dohotariu attempted to choke one officer, the report stated. The officer suffered a shoulder injury and was hospitalized.
