A Palatine man was hospitalized on Tuesday after a car crash on Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park, according to the Highland Park Police Department.
At around 11:45 a.m., Schaumburg resident Amber Banner was driving her Mitsubishi out of the LA Fitness in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Skokie Valley Road. She turned left out of the parking lot and struck Daniel Koste, who was driving a 2010 Honda Accord. He was heading north in the left lane.
Koste complained of back pains and was transported to Highland Park Hospital, according to Deputy Chief of Support Services George Pfutzenreuter.
Banner was cited for failure to yield while turning left. Her court date is set for May 8 at 10:30 a.m.
