Former Highland Park City Councilman Pete Koukos shares his election endorsements.

DISTRICT 113 REFERENDUM:   In spite of what you may have been told or heard,  I have no public opinion on this referendum.

Last year my firm performed a really terrific refunding of the outstanding bonds in conjunction with the District's financial advisor. Ethics require that I take no position with respect to the referendum or the election of members of the 113 school board.

CITY COUNCIL:  I have three picks for this very important election: CAROLYN CERF, BILL DYTRYCH & DAN KAUFMAN. I know all of them.  I trust all three to be true to the oath of office. I will not always agree with their votes, but I trust they will have the best interests of the community in their deliberations and votes.

PARK BOARD:  I no longer am involved with the District's bond issues.  I can and do support BARNEY RUTTENBERG & CAL BERSTEIN.  I believe they will be honest in their deliberations and votes.  Both are reasonable men who I trust.  What more can we ask of someone who is willing to put time and effort into service to the community?

NORTH SHORE DISTRICT 112: Peg and I no longer live in District 112.   The Municipal Securities Regulation Board prohibits me from supporting anyone for whom I cannot vote.

Therefore, I have no public opinion with respect to the 112 school board candidates.

Pete Koukos
Highland Park/Highwood Rotary Club Immediate Past President
