The information below comes from the Park District of Highland Park.
Forest Moses, a Highland Park resident and a Sophomore at Northridge Prep in Niles, has won the 1A Conference in high jump.
He also recently took second in 1A sectionals at Benedictine University in Lisle. This is a repeat performance for Moses. He made it to State as a Freshmen.
His school has neither a track nor a high jump pit, yet he’s headed to the State finals again this year.
When asked how he learned to high jump he said, “I just gave it a try at a meet last year. My coach, Mike Egle, put me in all the jumps and I just did it.”
IHSA State finals began Thursday at Eastern University, Indiana.
