With four days to go until 10th Congressional District voters decide to reelect Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) or replace him with Democrat Brad Schneider of Deerfield, the candidates are spending their time crisscrossing the area meeting voters.
While Schneider and Dold make their case on a personal level, voters will continue to be pelted with television commercials in part attacking the two men. There are six contested Congressional race across Illinois and $42 million has been spent so far, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

Much of that money has been spent on negative commercials. Dold and Schneider will claim those attacks are distortions of their words and records at best and lies at worst. Patch wants to know which commercial our readers think is the most untrue of all and is giving you a chance to vote.
Patch has assembled nine commercials attacking either Schneider or Dold and included them with this story. Beneath the article is an unscientific Patch poll allowing you to select the tallest tale of this election season.
Here is a brief summary of the advertisements with the title which will be in the poll to make voting easier:
- Johnson Praises Medicare—Former President Lyndon Johnson talks about the benefits of Medicare while words on the screen accuse Dold and the Republican Party of trying to end the program. It is paid for by the Schneider campaign.
- Schneider Is Bad for Business—The United States Chamber of Commerce criticizes Schneider for supporting policies that will cause uncertainty for business and higher taxes.
- Dold Tied to Tea Party—The House Majority PAC paid for this commercial claiming Dold’s voting record is in line with the Tea Party Agenda.
- Schneider Has Poor Record in Business—Brad Schneider is criticized for the lack of income on the disclosure form he filed with the House of Representatives. The National Republican Campaign Committee paid for the commercial.
- Alliance With Rep. Joe Walsh (R-McHenry)—Dold is accused of being aligned with Walsh and the Tea Party in this ad funded by the House Majority PAC.
- Schneider Will Raise Taxes—The Dold campaign paid for this commercial accusing Schneider of supporting a $7,000 tax increase for Illinois families.

For this election, Patch will keep its poll open until noon Monday and publish results before the voting begins Tuesday.
