William “Bill” Newman, 61 of Deerfield died Friday in hospice care after a brief illness.
Newman leaves behind family and friends including his wife, Ann, sons Matthew and Michael and his mother Polly. His father was the late Charles Newman. He is also survived by his brothers Allan (Diane) and David (Naomi), and in-laws Violet, Dan, Mark, Mary Jo, Jean, Tom, Chris, Tony, Joy, Kathy and Jim as well as many nephews and nieces.
Newman worked for many years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor helping the disabled. He was an avid tennis player and golfer.
Services were held Sunday at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 North Buffalo Grove Road in Buffalo Grove, IL.
